Features: A circular Zen motif (ensō) is carved in low relief into a six-mokko-shaped Yamagane plate with a stone-textured surface.
The Shoami were a school of metalworkers based in Kyoto that flourished from the late Muromachi period to the end of the Edo period. Works from the early period are referred to as Ko-Shoami (Old Shoami).
