This blade is ranked as Jyo-saku among the works of Jakushu Ju Fuyuhiro.
Habaki: Single gold-foiled habaki.
Blade Length: 68.0 cm (26.77 in).
Curvature: 1.8 cm (0.71 in).

Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.03 cm (1.19 in).
Width at Yokote: 1.95 cm (0.77 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.76 cm (0.30 in).
Sword Weight: 745 g.
Era: Edo period, Bunsei 5 (1822).
Shape: A katana with standard mihaba, deep curvature, and a long boshi.
Jigane: Well-forged, tightly compact ko-itame hada displaying a Hizen-style jigane.
Hamon: Notare-ba with a moderately deep nioiguchi. The boshi returns in a rounded form.

Features: Jakushu Ju Fuyuhiro was a disciple of the eighth-generation Tadayoshi and is also said to have been known by the name Hisahiro. The hamon of this blade is graceful, resembling gentle rolling waves.

Koshirae: Vermilion Danmong-nuri lacquered saya in tachi mounting (NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu).
Overall Fittings: Maple motif. Fuchi signed: Hidekuni Saku.
Menuki: Kurikara dragon motif.
Tsuba: Yarai-kikko pattern. A very rare tsuba, signed Umetada (kao).
Kashira: Kurikara dragon head motif.
Tsuka: White samegawa wrapped with dyed leather in morotsumami-maki.

Historical Background: Around the Bunsei era, on May 26, 1818 (4th month, 22nd day of the lunar calendar), the era name was changed from Bunka to Bunsei. On February 7, 1818 (1st month, 3rd day of the lunar calendar), the Edo Shogunate conducted artillery firing tests at Kamakura. On May 13, 1818 (4th month, 9th day of the lunar calendar), the British merchant Gordon arrived at Uraga seeking to establish trade with Japan, but the shogunate refused his request.
