Jigane: Fine and tightly forged steel grain.
Hamon: Nie-deki style gunome-midare, with well-forged double temper lines and visible utsuri.
The boshi turns into a midare pattern.
The blade clearly displays characteristics of great age.

Features: The Takada school was a group of swordsmiths that flourished in Takada, Bungo Province, and traced its origins to Taira Nagamori.
This work bears a gold inlaid inscription reading “Yasuyuki.”
Because it has been polished in a sashikomi-style finish, the hamon can be seen very clearly.
It is an exceptionally well-made work in which the fine details of the hamon can be appreciated throughout the blade.
