Shape: wide and thick blade with carving of Kusa-no-Kurikara and Boshi.
Jigane: plain-like jigane with fine Jinie.
Hamon: Kok-nie base Gunome midare with Ashi, Kinsuji and Sunagashi. Boshi is midare and pointed.

Features:
Higo no Kuni ju Akamatsu Taro Kaneteru was a swordsmith from Kumamoto Prefecture and produced works inspired by Kiyomaro. Kyushu has long been known for producing swords with bold and powerful forms, and this piece is likewise a healthy work with a solid, distinctly Kyushu-style appearance. The polishing has also been well executed.
