Features: The Bizen Ichimonji tradition began in the early Kamakura period. Based on stylistic characteristics, the earliest works closely related to the Ko-Bizen tradition are known as Ko-Ichimonji, the brilliant mid-period works are classified as Fukuoka Ichimonji, and the later works are referred to as Yoshioka Ichimonji. Other branches include Katayama Ichimonji and Iwato Ichimonji. This blade is an outstanding example of Fukuoka Ichimonji, displaying vivid utsuri and a magnificent choji-midare with dramatic variations in height and rhythm.

Shape: A well-proportioned blade with a wide mihaba, slightly thick kasane, deep curvature, a bo-hi, and an elongated kissaki.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada forming a clear and refined jigane.
Hamon: Nie-deki suguha with abundant nie and active utsuri. Kinsuji are present within the hamon, which displays a soft and elegant appearance. The boshi finishes in hakikake.
