Special feature : Rai Kunimitsu was a son of the Kunitoshi who was called Jirobei Jyo and worked late Kamakura period.
Generally his subjects are slender sword like Rai Kunitoshi and also massive wide and thick blade like this sword.
This sword looks like Rai Kunitsugu wide and thick sword.
Probably the blade has kept so long by Daimyo family.
The blade is rare marvelous sword.
Especially fantastic Jigane and active temper line which was judged Juyo token.

Sori :1.82cm or 0.717 inches.
Mekugi : 1 
Width at the hamachi : 3.4 cm or 1.338 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.47cm or 0.97 inches.
Kasane :0.73 cm or 0.29 inches.
Shape : The blade is long and wide
and thick with deep sori and big oo kissaki style gorgeous sword.
Jigane :Koitame hada and masanagare with jinie attach and chikei work.
Hamon :Nie deck deep nioikuchi gunome midare
and in Hamon, there are sunagashi and kinsuji work
Boshi: Midarekomi and hakikake kissaki with kinsuji.
