Soshu Ju Tunahiro (3rd generation)

Special feature: The 3rd generation of Soshu Ju Tunahiro,
he was called Yamamura Souemon. He lived in Kamakura(Kanagawa prefecture).
And then he moved to Tsugaru(Aomori prefecture) . He was invited by Tsugaru domain. He made about 300 blades.
He passed away on Feburary 27, 1638 at age of 91.

Blade length :55.8  cm or 22 inches.
Sori :0.9cm or 0.354 inches.
Mekugi :  2
Width at the hamachi : 3.21cm or 1.26 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.29cm or 0.9 inches.
Kasane :0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.

Shape : The blade is wide and thick with small sori
which is typical Kanbun shape.
Jigane : Ko-itame hada well grained with jinie attach
and chikei work beautiful texture.
Hamon :From Hamachi niedeki suguha
and then gunome midare with thick
nioikuchi and in Hamon, there are many subagashi, kinsuji work.
The hamon is bright and clear.
