This work is ranked as Jyojyo Saku for Minamoto Kiyotaka.
Habaki: Single copper Habaki with gold color.
Blade Length: 71.5 cm (28.15 in).
Curvature: 1.6 cm (0.63 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.41 cm (1.34 in).
Width at Yokote (Sakihaba): 2.32 cm (0.91 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.70 cm (0.28 in).
Sword Weight: 880 g.
Era: Edo period, Bunkyu 2 (1862).
Shape: The tang is long, and there is a koshi-hi groove extending approximately 15 cm (5.91 in).
A well-proportioned katana.
Jigane: There are slight openings in the steel, but it is a solidly made work.
Hamon: The hamon slightly descends and forms a gunome-midare pattern.
The boshi is irregularly tempered.

Features: Minamoto Kiyotaka was a swordsmith from Musashi Province.
He lived in Edo and was active from the Bunkyu era through the Keio era.
The gunome-midare hamon of this work is reminiscent of Kanemoto.
