This work is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among the works of the first generation Fuyuhiro.

Shape: This blade has a well-proportioned shape with slightly wide body, thick kasane, deep curvature, and extended kissaki.
Jigane: Fine ko-itame hada, well-forged and densely packed.
Hamon: Gentle gunome-midare, with pointed gunome-midare in the kissaki.
Features:This Gishu Fuyuhiro was the second son of Wakasa Fuyuhiro and went by the name Takahashi Genji-bei.
He moved to Hiroshima in Keicho 11 (1606) upon invitation from the Fukushima clan, and passed away in Kan'ei 6 (1629).
Aoi Art’s Comment:This piece shows the distinct characteristics of Keicho-era Shinto swords, with a wide blade, thick kasane, extended kissaki, and deep curvature.

Historical Background: The Keicho era lasted from 1596 to 1615.
It was a politically transitional period from the Azuchi-Momoyama era to the Edo era, beginning after Toyotomi Hideyoshi's death and the Battle of Sekigahara (1600), and ending with the fall of the Toyotomi clan in 1615, after Tokugawa Ieyasu established the Edo Shogunate in 1603.
