This piece is believed to be from the early Shinto period of the Edo era.

We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku.
This sword is ranked as Jyojyo Saku.

Habaki: Single-layered silver.
Blade Length: 2 shaku 2 sun 7 bu (approx. 68.8 cm / 27.09 in)
Curvature: 5 bu (approx. 1.5 cm / 0.59 in)
Mekugi Hole: 3
Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.0 cm (1.18 in)
Width at Yokote: 1.96 cm (0.77 in)
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.62 cm (0.24 in)
Sword Weight: 720 g

Shape: The blade has a wide mihaba, slightly thick kasane, deep curvature, and an extended kissaki, forming a well-proportioned shape.
Jigane: A beautiful jihada with a mix of small itame and mokume patterns in the shinogi-ji area, showing variation and elegance, made in nie-deki.
Hamon: A gunome-midare in small nie-deki appears on both the blade and shinogi-ji area, with a notable activity within the hamon.
The boshi is also midare-komi.
Features: Although this sword appears at first glance to be from the Muromachi period due to its variation and style, it is considered an early Shinto work.
