This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo saku ranking.

The blade is polished by a good polisher.
Blade length : 20.8 cm or 8.19 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.4cm or 0.94 inches.
Kasane : 0.96 cm or 0.38 inches.
Era : Early Edo Keicyo era.
Shape : The blade and Kera-kubi are rather long.
Jigane : Masame hada is well grained with jinie attach and Chikei work along with the hada. On the back, Itame hada with masanagare.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha notare hamon. Double Ha.

Special Feature : At late Muromachi period Kanemichi and his son Iga Kami Kinmichi, Tanba Kami Yoshimichi, Eccyu Kami Masatoshi moved from Mino to Kyoto and made swords there.
Masatoshi was well known for Sosyu den style, Tanba kami Yoshimichi was also tried to make Sosyu den style and changed to Sudareba hamon later on.
Ika Kami Kinmichi reached the top ranking sword maker playing an important role as Nihon Kaji Sosho to give the title to the sword makers from the imperial court.
Every sword makers in Japan, should go to Kyoto and receive the title from Kinmichi.

From Aoi Art : First generation Eccyu Kami Masatoshi tended to make rustic Sosyu den style swords.
This Yari as good as his Father’s Kanemichi’s work. in fact, his father left wonderful Yari.
Considering the quality probably this Yari was possessed by a high ranking samurai.
