This sword belongs to Jyo-jyo ranking.

Habaki: silver single habaki.
Blade length:49.3 cm or 19.4 inches.
Sori:1.0cm or 0.39cm inches
Width at the hamachi:3.01 cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki:2.38 cm or 0.93 inches.
Kasane:0.58cm or 0.22 inches.

Era: Edo period Gen-na era.
Shape: Wide and thick sword with deep Sori and longer Kissaki. Large sword.
Jigane: Ko-Itame-Hada well grained, Jinie attached beautiful Yamashiro style Jigane.
Hamon: Niedeki. Long Niedeki Suguha worked from Hamachi then become deep Nioikuchi, Gunome-Midare.

Special feature: Kyo-Tamba 1st generation’s sword is very rare. His father is Kanemichi of Mino school. They moved to Kyo and started the school. It was continued to 5th generation but the 1st worked on in short term so his sword is rare. This sword has some Machiokuri but wide and Hamon seems like the prototype of Sudare, the original and popular Hamon of the school. Hamon on both sides is different. The 1st generation’s sword is really rare, we strongly recommend you this sword.
