Special feature: 1945 Born on the 17th of February as the second son of Yoshihara Masahiro(Kuniie the
2nd) in Setagaya-ku in Tokyo.
1966 Won Effort Prize at the 2nd New Meito Exhibition. Later, won Effort Prize again and
Encouragement Prize.
1970 Made and presented Goshinpo Tachi(Treasure Tachi presented for God) for the
60th anniversary for Installation of Ise Shrine.
1971 Won Special Prize(Mainichi Newspaper Prize) at the 7th New Meito Exhibition.
1972 Won Special Prize(Honorary Chairman Prize) at the 7th New Meito Exhibition.
1973 Won Special Prize(Director General of Agency for Cultural Affairs Prize) at the 7th
New Meito Exhibition.
1974 Won Special Prize(Director General of Agency for Cultural Affairs Prize) at the 7th
New Meito Exhibition.
1975 Won Special Prize(Mainichi Newspaper Prize) at the 7th New Meito Exhibition.

1982 Approved as Mukansa swordsmith. Succeeded to the 3rd Kuniie.
2003 Appeared on the film “The Last Samurai” as a swordsmith.
On May 28th, 2023 He passes away at the age of 78.
