Habaki: Gold double foiled habaki
Blade length:32.5cm or 12.8inches.
Sori:0.5cm or 0.2inches.
Mekugi:3
Width at the hamachi:2.88cm or 1.13inches.
Kasane:0.44cm or 0.17inches.
Era: The Edo period.
Shape : It is wide and thick strong looking tanto and it is mitsumune style. There is two-line carving on the blade. Sori is deep at the tip.
Jigane: Itamehada is grained very well with mixed Mokumehada and Chikei. Elaborate jigane.
Hamon: Nioideki, Nioikuchi is deep and it looks like smoke. Sunagashi and KInsuji work very actively.

Special feature : At the first glance, it seems like old styled Soshuden piece. In NBTHK museum, it is attributed as Shitahara. There is full of activities in the ha.
