The blade was polished.
Habaki :silver single habaki.
Blade length : 53.8 cm or 21.18 inches.
Sori :1.3cm or 0.51 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi :2.71 cm or 1.06 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.16cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane : 0.58 cm or 0.33 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanei era.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with deep sori
and longer kissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane :Itame hada well grained with jinie attach
and also chikei work and visible to see the texture.
Hamon :Niedeki gunome midare and togari gunome midare mixed,
In hamon, there are many ashi, yo sunagashi and kinsuji which remind
us Koto blade. Boshi is midarekomi style.
Special feature:Iyo Jyo Munetsugu was working at Hizen Isehaya province
and also saga prefecture. The blade looks like Keicyo style
beautiful elegant shape. Generally speaking, hizen sword makers made round shape boshi but Munetsugu made midarekomi boshi.
Saya :black kizami saya.
Tsuba :On the mokko style copper plate, Japanese Kanji is menrioned
Kanzeon Bosatsu(budsdist god) and Cyomei hu-ki(long life and rich noble man) The owner prayed to be rich and high ranking person.
Fuchikashira:On the syakusdo nanako plate, walking around horses are engraved with gold color.
Menuki : On the syakudo plate, a cow is engraved by syakudo plate.
From Aoi art:This blade is very active sosyu den and Bizen den mixed
which is called Soden bizen.
On the beautiful fine texture, active nice hamon are working.
