The blade was polished.
Habaki :copper double habaki.
Blade length : 49.9 cm or 19.6 inches.
Sori :1.0cm or 0.4 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.22cm or 1.27 inches.
Width at the Kissaki :2.25 cm or 0.886 inches.
Kasane : 0.62 cm or 0.244 inches.
Era : Edo period Keian era. 1648.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with small sori and longer Kissaki.
Jigane :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach beautiful Hizen konuka hada.
Hamon :in place contains straight- grain area sprinkled with nie grain.
Special feature:Tadakuni the First made this wakizashi. He was born in 1598 as a son of Yoshiie. Yoshiie was also a swordsmith of Hizen province. Tadakuni was a pupil of Tadayoshi the First who consolidated the foundations of Hizen-to. Tadakuni was designated Harima Daijo in 1634 at the age of 37. At the same time he started to make sword for the domain of Ogi in
Hizen province. He passed away in 1691, aged 94. He was very good at gunome-midare hamon with deep nioi-kuchi and his sword was ranked at Shinto-Josaku.

Koshirae :
Saya :brack broun color saya, uppar part is Kizami saya black color.
Tsuba :On the oval shape syakudo tsauba, rise up mimi and engraved Amida yasuri on
the surface.
Menuki : On the iron plate, engraved battling samurai motif is
engraved:Mogarashi school
Fuchikashira: On the syakudo nanako plate, battling samurai motif is engraved with gold
color: Mogarashi school.
Wari Kogai:on the iron Kogai, engraved some design with gold color.

From Aoi Art:Harima Daijyo Tadakuni is well known sword maker by summer clouds in the blue sky. but suguha hamon is also high reputation. Niedeki with thick nioikuchi suguha makes us calm and gentle feelings. Koshirae is also nice and good condition.
