Special feature: Takai Echizen Kami Rai Nobuyoshi was really skilled so he could make this kind of elaborate Hamon. Tsuruta thinks that this type of Toranba is one of the greatest swords that he ever made.

From Aoi Art: It says “Motte Kan Awa Tetsu”(以完粟鉄作之) but this is actually wrong. It has to be Shisotetsu(宍粟鉄). It is a special iron that was produced around the north Shisho-city. Some swordsmiths often engraved this Kanji wrong. We call the ruins of ironworks as “Tetsuzan Ato” and even today we can find some residues of iron there. This blade is made of special iron and very rare.
