The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold failed single Habaki.
Blade length : 59.1 cm or 23.26 inches.
Sori :1 cm or 0.39 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 2.67 cm or 1.05 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.73 cm or 0.68 inches.
Kasane : 0.54 cm or 0.21 inches.
The weight of the sword 525 grams.
Era : Kamakura period, Kenbu era(ca 1334)
Shape : This sword is O-suriage Mumei, it has moderate Sori.
Jigane : Fine grained itame-hada mixed with mokume-hada. It has Jinie attached and Midare Utsuri apparent.
Hamon : Niedeki, Suguha mixed with reversed Choji. It has small Ashi, Boshi is Midarekomi and Togari.

Special Feature : Motoshige was born to Osafune Morishige, his young brother was Shigezane.

Koshirae :
Saya : Red Saya with very detailed design painted throughout.
Tsuba : Thin iron Tsuba, it has some design on the rim.
Menuki : Gold Menuki, merchants design carved.
Kojiri : Iron Kojiri, the wave design carved.

From Aoi Art : This Wakizashi is about as long as a Katana.
This sword is O-suriage mumei but splendid, especially Utsuri, Kagaochi-Gunome-midare and Midarekomi Boshi. The Koshirae is also nice.
