Special feature : He was born at Kosyu Gamo (Oumi province) and studied Ichimonji style sword with his brother Mitsuhira.
They moved to Edo and studied from Ishido Korekazu and other sword makers.

At first he called himself ‘Heki Ichinojyo’ and after that Saburozaemon’.
Later he became a priest and got the Momyo (name as buddist priest) ‘Ippo’ and ‘Chikyu Nyudo’ at Genroku first year.
So this sword was made at his later year and also the blade was used by Nanbantetsu (western) steel.
Before Tsunemitsu was reported that he was older brother of Mitsuhira but the recent reserch says he is a Mitsuhira’s yonger brother.
Anyway they are quite well known Ichimonji style sword makers and high reputation in Edo period.
Sakamoto Ryoma loved Tsunemitsu Choji-midare Hamon.
This Wakizashi is wide and thick healthy blade without any Kizu or flaw.
We recommend this marvelous sword.
