The blade was polished well.
Habaki : Silver double Habaki.

Sori : 1.21 cm or 0.47 inches.

Width at the Kissaki : 2.12 cm or inches.
Kasane : 0.65 cm or 0.26 inches.

Era : Edo period, Kanbun era.
Shape : This sword is wide and thick, has a moderate Sori, a longer Kissaki.
Jigane : Well grained Koitamehada with Jinie attached, this is so called Hizen Jigane as known as Konukahada.
Hamon : Niedeki, Kogunome mixed with Chojimidare, Boshi is maru.

Special Feature:Tadahiro the Second was born Heisakuro Hashimoto as a legitimate son of Tadayoshi the First. Tadahiro was only19 years old when his father passed away in1632 but he was enough skillful to forge sword at that time. Tadahiro designated the Omi-Daijo in 1641, aged 29 and continued not only forging sword but also supervised many pupils until his death in 1693, aged 80. He is known as a skillful swordsmith almost all works are above the standard hizen-to. He had been forged sword for a long period of time to leave the largest number of swords among the swordsmiths of Hizen school.
He was ranked as Owazamono.

Saya : Black roiro Saya with flower design.
Tsuba : Mokko shaped iron Tsuba with Shakudo Fukurin.
Menuki : Dragon engraving.
Kozuka : Shakudo Nanakoji, Dragon engraving.
Kogai : Shakudo, the mountain and the house engraving.

From Aoi Art : Almost all of Oumidaijo Fujiwara Tadahiro’s swords have Suguha Hamon but this sword has Gunome Hamon mixed with Choji Hamon, Konukahada.
This sword is very healthy and the Nakago is in good condition, the Koshirae is also nice, the Saya is a little bit damaged though.
