Explanation:Yamano Kauemon Nagahisa cut 2 bodies at Kanbun 1st year May 10th.
Shinto:Jyo Saku :Wazamono cutting test:Musashi province.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :copper single habaki.
Blade length :55.8  cm or 22 inches.
Sori :0.9cm or 0.354 inches.
Mekugi :  2
Width at the hamachi : 3.21cm or 1.26 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.29cm or 0.9 inches.
Kasane :0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with small sori
which is typical Kanbun shape.
Jigane : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach
and chikei work beautiful texture.
Hamon :From Hamachi niedeki suguha
and then gunome midare with thick
nioikuchi and in Hamon, there are many subagashi, kinsuji work.
The hamon is bright and clear.

Special feature: Omi kami Houjoji Masahiro was born at Tajima province.
He moved to Edo which is capital place in Japan and established his
school and educated many famous sword makers.
His subjects are very similar with Kotetsu. Probably his swords were
influenced from Kotetsu. His swords are almost as same as Kotetsu which is Kanbun shape.
Kanbun shape(very few sori(curve) and kokkisaki style.
This kanbun shape has nice reputation as cut well swords.
This blade has thick Nioikuchi Hamon.

Koshirae: Toppei style waakizashi Koshirae. unusual iron plate fittings.
Tsuba: Mokko style small size iron Tsuba, rise up mimi.
Fuchikashira: on the iron plate. bamboo tree and
a bird are engraved with gold color.
Menuki: on the iron plate. abumi and bush are engraved with gold color.
one of the motif of Nozarashi scene.
Kojiri:iron plate.
Kurikata.Iron plate.
Kozuka: On th iron plate, waves and flower are engraved.
Wari kougai:On the iron plate, dokko design is engraved with gold color.

From Aoi-Art: This long wakizashi is wide and thick with small sori and
longer kissaki healthy blade.
the cutting test was done by Yamano Kauemon Hutatsu do saidan
(on the two piled up bodies he succeeded cut the bodies
at Kanbun first year May 10th. The sword is precious data.
The Koshirae is unusual interesting Koshirae.
The kodo-gu are used iron fittings. Tsuba, Fuchikashira, Menuki, Kojiri, Kurikata and Kozuka, Kogai all matching iron fittings.
