This sword belongs to Jyo-jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Silver failed single Habaki.
Blade length: 39.4 cm or 15.5inches.
Sori :0.8 cm or 0.31inches.
Mekugi:  1
Width at the Hamachi: 2.8 cm or 1.1inches.
Width at the Kissaki: cm or inches.
Kasane :0.6 cm or 0.23inches.
The weight of the sword 320 grams.
Era : Late Muroamchi period. Tenbun era. 1532
Shape: The blade is Orikaeshi Mei. Wide and thick with Mitsumune style.
Deep sori and nice-looking shape.
Jigane: Itame-Hada and Mokume-Hada well grained
and visible to see the texture.
Hamon: Nie Deki, Ko-Gunome Midare continued from the Hamachi to Kissaki area. In Hamon,
there are many Sunagshi and Kinsuji works.   
Especially from the Monouchi to Kissaki area, a very active temper line.
There are marvelous active Hataraki inside of the Kissaki area.

Special feature: Soshuu Ju Tsunahiro was a successful smith
from the late Muromachi period.
He was a famous smith for the Hitatsura style blade.
He may be a son of Hiromasa as Tsunahiro
because blades have the same characteristic as his.
On the other hand, he is maybe the son of Shimada Yoshisuke.
According to Koto Taikan, first-generation Tsunahiro
has his name as Yamamura.
He has become a personal swordsmith of Odawara Hokujyo.
While then, he was called by Ujitsuna where he got the letter
綱-tsuna and changed his name to Tsunahiro.
He has made swords from Tenmon 7th year to Hironao.
Soshuu Jyuu Tsunahiro has named himself Soshuu Masamune
and have forged swords in Kamakura.
There were three generations through the Muromachi period
and came down until the Edo period.

Koshirae :
Saya : Black Ishime-ji saya.
Tsuba: On the round shape iron Tsuba,
some mountain grapes are engraved with gold color.
Menuki: Wise men are engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: on the Shakudo Ishime plate. Kabuto(?) is engraved
with gold color.
Kozuka: On the shakudo Nanako plate,
disassembled armor is engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: Soshu Tsunahoro was influenced a lot from Hasebe school.
and moved to Sagami province because Ujitsuna invited him
and became his wordsmith and studied at this place.
This sword is well forged Itame Hada and Mokume Hada mixed visible to see the texture well. The Hataraki in Hamon is extremely wonderful. Sunagashi, Kinsuji work from Monouchi area to the Kissaki,
very active Hamon, and Kissaki area is a very active temper line.

Background: On 1549, Tenmon 11th year,
The Portuguese has been washed ashore in Tanegashima
and has taught about gun. Later on,
Japanese has made guns by what they taught.
At 1575, Nagashino battle, the guns were used as strong weapon for the triumph.
It shows Japanese dexterity.
