This blade belongs to Regular Saku ranking.

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 36.5 cm or 14.37 inches.
Sori : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.96 cm or 1.16 inches.
Kasane : 0.58 cm or 0.22 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : Wide and thick Tanto
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach
and visible to see the texture. There are some small Kizu.
But it is not so serious.
Hamon : Koniedeki suguha.

Special feature : The sword has some lose had and wild hamon, the sword must be Kaifu school.
Kaifu sword makers were working at Tokushima prefecture Kaifu city area from Nanbokucho period to late Edo period.
The blade was used as cut well sword.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round Shape, iron Tsuba.
Fuchikashira : Shakudo plate, line pattern is engraved.
There is a crack on the Kashira.
Saya : Black color Saya. Kojiri is iron.
Menuki : Shakudo, bundle of woods and bird are engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: From the Jigane, we guess that this blade is Kifu school. The Fuchikashira of Koshirae is unique.
