This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Habaki : Copper double Habaki.
Blade length : 44.9 cm or 17.67 inches.
Sori : 1.0 cm or 0.39 inches.
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi : 2.575 cm or 1.03 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.11 cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.55 cm or 0.21 inches.
Era : Middle Kamakura period. around 1259.
Shape : Osuriage Mumei Wakizashi.
There are Boshi on both sides of the blade.
The Kissaki is long.
Jigane : The mixture of Ko-Itame Hada and Mokume Hada
with thick Jinie. Thre are chikei and Utsuri.
Hamon : Nioideki, Suguha with Notare.
There are many Ashi. The Nioikuchi is thick and soft.

Special feature: Rai Kuniyuki is the founder of Rai school.
There are some blades with inscriptions.
The blade was made around Kougen era(1256-1257).

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Shakudo Nanako Tsuba, paper crane and squid are engraved with gold and copper color.
Menuki:Horse and person are engraved with gold color.
Fuchi: Shakudo Nanako, Ume tree and Samurai are engraved with gold color.
Kashira: Black horn.
Saya: Black Roiro Saya.
Kozuka Kogatana: Shakudo Nanako, horses are engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: This Mumei blade was attributed as Rai Kuniyuki.
The Hamon is typical Kuniyuki work.
The Jigane and Hamon are so nice.
