This sword belongs to Jo saku ranking.

The blade is polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled double Habaki.
Blade length : 46,8 cm or 18.43inches.
Sori : 1,2cm or 0.47inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the Hamachi : 2,68 cm or 1.08 inches.
Width at the Kissaki :2,75 cm or 0.81inches.
Kasane : 0,63 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is Suriage Machiokuri (cut shorten from Nakago of the blade) but the signature is remaining perfectly.
The blade is having standard thickness and width.
Jigane : Koitame-hada well grained with Jinie attach beautiful Osaka Jigane.
Hamon : Niedeki with thick Nioikuchi Gunome Midare Hamon.
Ashi, Yo, Sunagasi and Kinsuji scatter very active in Hamon.

Special feature : Kawachi (No) Kami Kunisuke the second generation, commonly known as ‘Naka-Kawachi’ forged this Wakizashi.
From this brilliant Hamon, he is also called ‘Shinto-Ichimonji’.
He became swordsmith around Keian era, in the mid-seventeenth century and passed away at 1698.
It is said that he is the one whom created Kobushigata-Choji Hamon, fist-shaped temperline at first.
The blade made by Kunisuke only curve slightly.
The same thing can be said to Yasusada blade.
This Wakizashi shows elegant workmanship of Konie-deki with deep Nioikuchi with Ara-Nie.

Koshirae : Koshirae keeping very nice condition.
Saya : Black Roiro Saya.
Tsuba : Autumn flowers are carved on round shape Shakudo-nanakoji plate with gold color.
Menuki : Shishi-dog is carved with gold color.
Fuchi-Kashira : Autumn flowers are carved on the Shakudo plate with gold color.
Kozuka : Autumn flowers are carved on Shakudo Nanakoji plate with gold color.

Historical background : May 1st, 1662, giant earthquake occurs at Kyoto area.
