This blade is Jyojyo Saku ranking.

Shinto: Jyo Saku: Wazamono: Kaga
The blade was polished by good polisher.
Habaki : Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 53.6 cm or 21.10 inches.
Sori : 1.1 cm or 0.43 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.97cm or 1.16 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.06 cm or 0.81 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick with longer kissaki nice looking shape.
Jitetsu : Koitame had well grained with jinie attach and chikei work.
Hamon : Niedeki doran style oogunome midair and square style gunome mixed.
Boshi is round shape.

Special feature : The first generation Kanewaka was influenced wild feeling Late Muromachi sword makers.
At that period many Samurai in Kaga clan, hoped to obtain Kanewaka.
At that period Kanewaka was very high reputation so at Kaga,
high ranking Samurai said that If some Samurai who is poor with Kanewaka, gives my doughtier as bride.
3rd generation Kanewaka was called Shirouemon high ranking sword smith.
The blade is Doranba style active nice sword.

Koshirae:
Tsuba:Shakudo Tsuba. the rim is covered with gold color.
Saya: Black color Saya with Sendan Kizami pattern.
Fuchikashira: Kojiri: Shibuichi, dragon is engraved with gold color.
Menuki: Dragon is engraved with gold color.
Kozuka Kogatana: Copper, wave and plovers are engraved with gold color.
