Shape: A sturdy blade with a broad and thick shape, a slightly deep curvature, and an extended kissaki.
Jigane: Ko-itame hada that is well-forged and tightly grained, with the pattern clearly visible.
Hamon: A suguha-based hamon with elements of gunome mixed in.
The interior of the hamon shows ashi and yo, with various intricate details.
The boshi is rounded and returns softly.
Koshirae:
Tsuba: Circular plain copper tsuba with shakudo-covered rims, featuring openwork carvings of plants.
Fuchi-Kashira: Shakudo nanakoji base with high-relief floral designs and gold highlights.
Saya: Black lacquered roiro saya.
Menuki: High-relief copper carvings of bird motifs.

Works by Echigo no Kami Rai Kinmichi are rare and not commonly documented in books.
However, this wakizashi has excellent proportions, refined jigane, and a hamon with intriguing variations, making it a highly valuable piece.
