The blade is polished.
Blade length : 54.24 cm or 21.35 inches.
Sori : 0.9 cm or 0.35
Width at the Hamachi : 3.0 cm or inches.
Width at the Kissaki :2.73 cm or inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or inches.
Era : Edo period, around Kanbun era.
Shape : Wide and thick long Wakizashi.
Jigane : Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. It is clearJigane.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Chu-Suguha with thick Nioikuchi and soft Ashi.
The Hamon looks like Omi Daijo Fujiwara Tadahiro.
Boshi is round Hakikake shape.

Special feauture : First generation Yasutsugu was born at Oumi province
and moved to Echizen province. Tokugawa Syogun’s order,
he made swords for this Syogun Ieyasu.
He was permitted to cut the Aoi moon(family crest of Aoi Tokugawa family
and also received the name of Yasu(one of the charatoer of Tokugawa Ietasu)
This sword is 3rd generation Yasutugu which was made at Echizen province.
For making swords, Yasutsugu used Nanbantetsu(western steal
which was made at Holland ) which was very precious.
I think he made swords mixed with western steal and Japanese Tamahagane.
Nanbantetsu is not clear jigane and dark deep gray color
but cut well sword after mixed with Japanese Tamahagane.
The price is quite reasonable. We recommend this sword.

Historical background: At Kanbun era, Tokugawa Ietsuna 4th generation controlled Japan.
Keian era 1651 to Enpo era(1680)
But after Iemitsu 3rd generation passed away, revolution occurred by Yui Syosetsu
and Marubashi Cyuya but failed which means politically-unstable era.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round shape iron Tsuba, bamboo forest and people reading
the book are engraved with gold and silver color.
Fuchi-kashira : Shakudo Nanako, some story is engraved with gold and copper color.
Saya : Black color Saya with Kisami pattern.
Menuki : Samurai is engraved with gold color.
