Features: This sword is a work of the first generation Masahiro, who signed as Kawachi Daijo Masahiro. It is rare for him to sign as Fujiwara Masahiro, which appears in the second generation. This piece is highly regarded for its beautiful choji-midare hamon. Some swords with this choji-midare hamon have been designated as Juyo Token. The long kinsuji on the reverse side highlights the outstanding craftsmanship. The wide blade and extended tip make this a highly recommended piece.

Aoi Art’s Comment: The son of Yoshinobu, commonly known as Saemonjiro. Initially named Masanaga, he changed his name to Masahiro in November of Kanei 2, receiving the title Kawachi Daijo in the same year. He passed away on February 5, Kanbun 5, at the age of 59. Compared to longer swords, wakizashi often exhibit superior craftsmanship due to their shorter length.
