It is 0.23cm thickness slim tsuba.

The below is extraction of a passage from Kiyoshige Noda’s book Tsuba Kansho (published 1963).
The picture of the passage is on the third picture(F15379paper-2) .

“Round iron plate Kakumimi(square rim) (tsuba), the iron plate is thinly forged and is in extremely nice condition.

Ume flower pot motif is treated on the right and mountain motif on the left. The top and bottom is openwork of Karigane(wild goose design) .

On other word, it is Ji-Sukashi(A plate where most part is engraved in openwork except for the motif outline and rim). As a Kacchushi Tsuba, I think it is decent pattern tsuba.

It is well ordered and skillful work for Kacchushi Tsuba.”
