Special feature: Round iron tsuba, the seven sages of the bamboo grove is carved with openwork with inlaid color painting. At the end of the 3rd century in China, the seven sages escaped from the shackles of Confucian ethics, and enjoyed drinking, music and highbrow discussions in the bamboo groves.
Kitagawa Hidenori is thought to be identical to Soten(宗典), who is a sword ornament craftsman in Omi province in mid-Edo period.
