This sword belongs toJyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :silver single habaki.
Blade length : 26.5 cm or 10.43 inches.
Sori : 0.2cm or 0.07 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.6 cm or 1.02 inches.
Kasane :0.46 cm or 0.18 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : the blade is regular width, thivkness without sori.
On the front, bo-hi and soehi and small bo-hi are engraved.
Jigane :Itame hada and masame hada well grained
with jinie attach and shirake utsuri appear.
Hamon :Nie deki kgunome midare from the Hamachi to kissaki area.
Boshi:togari and turns back sharply.
Special feature:Nosyu seki Jyu Kaneuji is Mino and started from
Nanbokucyo period to late Muromachi period.
Saya :brown red color inro kizami saya.
Tsuba :copper with silver color plate.
Menuki : turtle is swimming by copper plate.
Kojiri:a lobster is engraved .
From Aoi Art:Nosyu Seki Jyu Kaneuji was working at Mino and made Tanto,
Wakizashi, Yari mainly except swords.
Probably Mino school was famous sword maker in Seki province and
made Tanto mainly. After the war end and became peaceful country.
So sowrd makers in Mino province, many sword makers moved
to other place but Tanto makers had to abolish their business.
The Koshirae is high quality signature Mitsutsune fittings were used for making Koshirae.
