Shape : Unique shape of Kanmuri Otoshi
Jigane : Ko-Itamehada well grained and Jinie attached. There is pale Utsuri.
Hamon : Suguha style with Ko-ashi and Yo. Nie like morning fog. Boshi is round shape.

Special feature: Tegai is one of Yamato sword makers. one of Yamato 5 schools (Senjuin, Tegai, Taima, Ho-Sho, Shikkake) All of 5 schools are made swords for their solders for temple or shrines and each has differences on their style. And Ryokai Ieyoshi, also known as Ryokai Sukedayu, lived in Yamashiro and flourished later in Buzen. This sword shows a special feature of Kanmuri Otoshi. The swords has same shape as this sword was made a lot in end of Kamakura period like Bizen, Yamashiro. But it become fewer in Nanbokucho period and wide, thick blade became more popular.

Koshirae : Aikuchi Koshirae (Tokbetsu Kicho)
Fuchikashira, Koikuchi: On Shakudo Nanako plate, rice plant and sparrow is engraved with gold color.
Saya : Gold Makie Saya
Menuki : On Shakudo plate, flower is engraved with gold color.
Kozuka: On Shakudo plate, patterns are engraved.

From Aoi Art: This is Kanmuri Otoshi Tanto Jigane has Utsuri, Hamon is Suguha with soft Ko-ashi and Yo. Koshirae is chic with nicely-made metal fittings and gold-Nashiji Saya. We suppose it had been preserved in Daimyo family. We highly recommend this nicely-made work.
