Habaki : Gold failed single habaki gold plated
Blade length : 25.4 cm or 10.0 inches.
Sori : 0.4cm or 0.15inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.76 cm or 1.09 inches.
Kasane : 0.53cm or 0.20 inches.
The weight of the sword: 200 grams.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick rather short size Tanto with healthy blade and left Ububa.
Jigane :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach Muji style.
Hamon :Konie deki, Nioideki gunome midare and Choji midair mixed
Bo-shi is round and togari bo-shi yakisage.

Special feature:This Tanto was made at late Edo period.
Probably he was learned from Norimune in Hitachi province.
The Hamon looks Yokoyama school Choji midare with Ashi.

Saya :black roar saya.
Tsuba :The Tsuba is thick iron hamidashi tsuba
and engraved some designe on the Mimi(rim) with gold color.
Menuki : Mountain pigeon is engraved
by silver plate and painted by gold color.
Kojiri:On the iron plate, some designe is painted by gold color.
Kozuka:Jumping horses are engraved
by Shakudo plate and painted by gold color.

From Aoi Art : This Tanto is very similar with Yokoyama sukekane.
Probably this Tanto in this work is very similar to Yokoyama Sukekane’s
work and seems to have some connection.
Koshirae:Fuchikashira is dragonfly,
