The blade was polished.
Habaki : silver single Habaki.
Blade length : 22.1 cm or 8.70 inches.
Sori : 0.0 cm or 0 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.18 cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane : 0.42 cm or 0.16 inches.
Era : Early Muromachi period.
Shape : Regular width and thickness Mitsumune style Tanto.
Jigane : Masame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Suguha with thick Nioikuchi. Habuchi is soft.
Special feature: At a glance, the blade looks like Yamato Taima school.
But the NBTHK judged this blade as Sue Tegai.
Sue Tegai school was active from early to late Muromachi period.
The blade is very healthy and has nice Hamon and Jigane.
Koshirae : Aikuchi Koshiare.
Saya : Black Saya with gold color bird design.
Menuki : silver, birds are engraved.
From Aoi Art: The Tanto is Mistumune style and has nice Masame Hada.
The Hamon is Suguha with thick Nioikuchi. It reminds of Taima blade.
