Daikinsu 30mai, It was a legacy of the Shimazu family.

This sword belongs to Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Copper single Habaki with gold color.
Blade length : 29.1 cm or 11.45 inches.
Sori : 0.1 cm or 0.03 inches.
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi : 2.60 cm or 1.02 inches.
Kasane : 0.62 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : Rather wide and thick Tanto.
There are Bo-Hi, Soe-Hi and Gomabashi.
Jigane : Itame Hada grained with Jinie attach.
It is typical Mino Jigane. Some parts are loose Jigane.
Hamon : Ko Nie Deki, and also Nioi Deki,
Gunome Midare and Togari-Ba.
Boshi is round shape.

Special feature: Kanmitsu of Mino province, that started from Shizu school.
And this school continued to the end of Murokachi period.
They place importance on cutting quality.

Koshirae :
Saya : dark brown Kawarinuri Saya.
Tsuba : Copper hamidashi Tsuba.
Menuki : pine cone is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira and Kojiri: Brass with plants pattern.
