(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo saku ranking.
The blade is polished.
Habaki : Gold wrapped double habaki.
Blade length(nagasa) : 22.7 cm or 8.93 inches.
Sori : 0.0 cm or 0.0 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.52 cm or 0.99 inches.
Kasane : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Edo period Bunkyu era. 1861.
Shape(Sugata):the blade is rather wide and thick nice looking shape.
Kitae :Koitame hada very well grained with jinie attach and also small chikei work.
Hamon :Konie deki Choji midare and gunome midare mixed.
Boshi:From the hamachi to Kissaki ,active hamon with long Kinsuji work
along with Hamon.

Special feature: Kurihara Kenji Nobuhide was well known sword smith
of the Kiyomaro student. He was born in Niigata prefecture 1815.
He was a mirror maker before but He decided to his business to sword maker.
He studied under the Koyomaro and worked and helped to make his master Kiyomarro.
Some swords are almost as same as his master Kiyomaro’s work.
He sometimes engraved Horomono on the sword.
But Kiyomaro never make Horomono on the sword.
I think probably He helped his master’s finance so his master permitted
to engrave on the sword.

From Aoi Art: This Tanto remind us his master Kiyomaro Tanto.
The blade is calm and from the Monouchi to Kissaki hamon is
active and a fine Kinsuji work along wuth Hamon.
Recently it is very hard to look for such kind of high ranking Tanto.
We recommend this Tanto with nice Koshirae and also wood box.
