This sword belongs toJyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : copper with gold color single habaki.
Blade length : 20.7 cm or 8.15 inches.
Sori : Uchizori
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi : 1.94 cm or 0.764 inches.
Kasane :0.71 cm or 0.28 inches.
The weight of the sword 150 grams.
Era : Taisho 9 Nen(1920)
Shape : The sugata is Unokubi style.
Jigane :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach clear jigane.
Hamon :Niedeki small gunome midare from the Hamachi and then suguha hamon. Bo-shi is round shape and long yakisage style.

Special feature: Horii Hideaki was named Horii Toshihide later on
who was born at 1886 Shiga prefecture.
At 1904(Meiji 37 year) he became a student of the Horii Taneaki.
He succeeded 3rd generation of Horii family and named Hideaki.
After that he moved to Hokkaido Muroran city in order to work at
Nippon steal company that helped to make Japanese swords.
The company tried to make good steal
and researched from Japanese swords.
He passed away 1943 (Showa 18th year).
He had a connection of the Kurihara Hikosaburo
and helped making swords for him.

Koshirae : Aikuchi style.
Saya :black brown saya, and black belts are painted by Urusshi.
Menuki : Ume flowers are engraved with gold color.
Fuchikasshira:Kojiri:Kurikata: many ants are engraved interesting subject
Kozuka: On the copper plate, man is looking up and 2 birds are engraving with gold color.

FRom Aoi Art : This Tanto style is called Unokubi style
unusual style kasane is thick which looks like very sharp
and looks very difficult to make.
Would have been quite elaborate and difficult.
Koshirae draws nest-eating ants in detail. It is a wonderful work.
