Era : Late Kamakura, the 2nd of Kanreki era (ca 1326)
Shape : This is a small Tanto with Uchizori. There’re Bonji and Gomabashi are carved into the surface.
Jigane : Koitamehada is grained well, There’re Jinie, Chikei and Utsuri apparent.
Hamon : Niedeki, small Choji-midare mixed with Gunome-midare.
Boshi : Mishina-boshi.
Special Feature : Bizen province(Okayama prefecture) was famous for sword making from ancient time.
There were many sword schools around the Yoshii river from Kamakura period to Muromachi period. Osafune school was one of these schools, it was located in Osafune area.
Kagemitsu, a son of Nagamitsu and a grandson of the school founder Mitsutada, was the leader of the school.
He was active around the end of the Kamakura period.

Menuki : Made of Shakudo, the wave carving.
Fuchikashira : Made of Shakudo the birds and the wave carving.
