Special feature: Ono Yoshimitsu was borned 1948 October 16th at Nigata prefecture, Nishiurahara area. He start to studying making sword from Yoshihara Yoshindo and Yoshihara Souji in
1969. In 1980, he received a license to make swords by himself and just during 10 years, he received outstanding performance award 6 times and become Mukansa sword smith. One of his most famous sword is Sanchomo, which copied Uesugi’s family treasure. At this time, there is no sword smith was decided as living national treasure, but in our opinion, it is really probable that he will achieve that.
