The blade was polished.

Special feature:Shodai Kawashima Tadayoshi was born in Meiji 25th during war time.
His work was highly valued winning many prizes at Japanese sword Kyokai(foundation).
There are opportunities to appreciate his splendid work made during war time.
After some blank period after war, he passed down his father’s sword making skills.
He became a Mukansa sword smith led by winning several prizes of sword making competition
and new masterpiece sword exhibition. There was much blank after the war.
This work is the Saijyo work of Kawashima Tadayoshi as the Mukansa sword smith.
It is magnificent yet the shape is solid and good condition.

The Sori is large. It reminds of Kanakura period’s blade.
He got many prizes. He became a Mukansa-tosho
in 1972 and passed away in 1988.
