Chu Koto: Jo Saku: Bicchu province.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Saijo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Habaki: gold foiled single Habaki.
Blade length : 71.0 cm or 27.95 inches.
Sori : 2.2 cm or 0.86 inches.
Mekugi :  3
Width at the hamachi : 2.29 cm or 0.90 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.11 cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.64 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Nanbokucho period, around Ouan era(1368. about 650years ago)
Shape : Suriage, Machiokuri Katana. But the signature remain completely.
Jigane : Mokume Hada and Itame Hada grained with Jinie attach.
The characteristic Chirimen Hada. There are Chikei and Utsuri.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Suguha base, There are many Ashi and Yo.
Boshi is Notare style.

Special feature: Bicchu Koku Junin Sadatsugu 1st generation started from Kamakura period around Jogen era(1207-1210). He is well known sword smith as the one of Gotobain sword smiths. This blade was made around Nanbokucho period Ouan era by 3rd generation.
The texture is Hadadatsu. The Nioikuchi is tight and bright.
Hamon is Suguha with Notare. That is typical Aoe blade.
The signature is Tachi Mei.

Solid Gold Tachi Koshirae:
The fittings are solid gold.
The Koshirae was made around modern times.
There are Aoi Mon. The Koshirae is in good condition.

From Aoi Art: This Aoe blade has signature. The signature and also Yasurime is clear. Generally, Aoe school engraved the signature on the Katana-Mei side. But Sadatsugu sometimes has done Katana-mei side
and Tachi-mei side. The blade has typical Aoe Chirimen Hada.
There are a lot of works in the Ha.
This is masterpiece which is rarely seen usually.
