Description:
This is an iron-rust finished sōmen (a face mask that covers the entire face), designed not only to protect the wearer in battle but also to intimidate enemies as a decorative piece. The mask features deeply embossed eyebrows and wrinkles on the forehead, with the inside coated in red lacquer. The decoration on the underside of the chin is a perforated tube known as a "sweat drain/Ase nagashi."

This piece is in good condition and comes highly recommended.
