Syowa 9 Nen 8 Gatsuhi. the blade was made at 1933, August.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo saku ranking.

The blade was polished.
Habaki :copper single yasukuni habaki.
Blade length :66.6 cm or 26.2 inches.
Sori :1.8cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi : 2.785cm or 1.096 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.8cm or 0.70 inches.
Kasane : 0.59cm or 0.23 inches.
Era : Syowa 9. 1934
Shape : The blade is regular thickness and width with suitable sori.
Jigane :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach like rice cake soft feeling
nice texture.
Hamon :Niedeki cyouji midare with ashi work.
Boshi is midarekomi style.

Special feature:Yasunori, also pronounced Yasutoku was one of a famous Yasukuni-tosho who was born in Hiroshima pref. He entered Nihon-to tanren-kai in 1933 and forged about 1,250 swords including dedicating swords to shin-to shrines. He withdrew in 1940.
In our opinion, Yasunori/Yasutoku forged this katana modeled on Rai Kunitoshi or Rai Kunimitsu. The blade has recently polished. Fine jitetsu and delicate ko-gunome came over on this piece.

From Aoi art:Yasunori is the top ranking sword maker in Yasukuni sword makers whose name is Kajiyama Yasunori.
He is skilful sword maker to make Rai Kunitoshi style, Soden Bizen style and so on.  I think his family presented high ranking sword Kajiyama Yasunori to him in order to expectation his brave work at the war front.
The sword mounting is very good condition and also nice sword.
