Explanation:This sword was made by Tsuguyasu who lived in Shimofusa, Chiba prefecture on a lucky day of spring in Showa 63(1988).

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 77.3cm or 30.43 inches.
Sori :2.6 cm or 1.02 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 3.57 cm or 1.40 inches.
Width at the Kissaki :2.48cm or 0.97 inches.

Era : Modern times. Showa 63.
Shape : The blade is broad an thick with Bohi on the both sides and deep Sori. Kamakura shape with Ububa left. Well-shaped.
Jigane : Koitamehada is grained well with Jinie. Beautiful shade.
Hamon : Suguha from Hamachi. Active Chojimidare after that. Trace of Bizen Fukuoka Ichimonji. Extremely well-made.

Special feature: Shimofusa Kuni Tsuguyasu is a swordsmith from Chiba prefecture. His real name is Matsuda Shuji. He won Excellence Prize once, and Effort Prize 5 times. Kitae is dense Koitame to look like plain. Hamon is Chojimidare with clear Nioikuchi.

From Aoi Art: This work is extremely well-made and we think the swordsmith deserves Mukansa swordsmith. This has to be the masterpiece of his production history, tracing Sanchomou(Yamatorige). In Hachu, Sunagashi and Kinsuji work. Boshi is Midare with Ashi. We suppose that this swordsmith has made unbelievable efforts to this work, aiming for the place of Mukansa swordsmith, and he made this marvelous masterpiece.
