This sword belongs to Saijyo saku (the top )ranking.

The blade was polished by one of the top polisher in Japan.
Habaki :gols wrapped double habaki.
Blade length : 62.4 cm or 24.6inches.
Sori :1.0cm or 0.394 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.23cm or 1.272inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.32 cm or 0.91inches.
Kasane : 0.61cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Edo period Enpo era
Shape : The blade is rather short and wide and thick
with longer kissaki nice volume healthy blade.
Jigane :Koitame hada and mokume hada mixed
with jinie attach and chikei work marvelous fine texture.
Hamon :Niedeki with deep nioikuchi gunome midare and Doranba hamon
with ashi work soft feeling nhabuchi.
The hamon is bright and clear which is yuki no muragie.
The scene looks like melting snow on the leaves’s edge.
In Hamon, there are sunagashi and kinsuji scatter in Ha.

Special feature:The sakakura gonnoshin is called 2nd generation Kanesada
and succeeded from first generation. But first generation’s son
became young, he gave him as successor and found
independent individuual sword maker and named Sakakura
Gonnoshin Terukane at around Enpo 8th.
He adored Tsuda Echizen Kami Sukehiro and imitated his sword
texture and active Doranba hamon.
This blade consist of koitame hada nad komokume hada well
grained with jinie attach and chikei work. In Hamon, beautiful long
kinsuji and sunagashi work and soft feeling ashi work.
His favorite speciality Doranba, Oogunome midare hamon are
made by bright and clear active hamon. This sword is one of the
best masterpiece of his Doranba hamon and also the date
of Enpo 9th precious data.

Koshirae :
Saya :black rioro saya.
(And also extra Saya which is wrapped by silk crepe Kimono with lacquer.:Modern times)
Tsuba :On the Otafuku shape syakudo plate, maple leaves are inlayed and
silver rope design is used as Fukurin.
Menuki : On the syakudo plain plate, family crests are engraved.
Kojiri:silver plate.
Fuchikashira:On the syakudo plate, autumn insects are engraved.
Tokyo Oite Furukawa Hen Syohusya Seijyu
He lived at Edo azabu from late Edo to Meiji era. Go Syohusya.
