This sword belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.
Habaki: Gold foiled single habaki.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 72.8cm or 28.66inches.
Sori :1.3 cm or 0.51inches.

Width at the hamachi : 2.9cm or 1.14inches.
Width at the Kissaki :2.3cm or 0.90inches.
The weight of the sword : 735 grams
Era : The Ouan era, the Nambokucho period
Shape : Osuriage Mumei, the blade is broad and thick with deep Sori with long Kissaki. There are 2-line Hi on both sides.
Jigane : Itamehada is grained well and flows like Masa with small Chikei. Elaborate Jigane.
Hamon : Koniedeki, Soshuden with deep Nioikuchi. Ashi and Yo work really actively. Nioikuchi is soft. Sunagashi and Kinsuji work really well. Boshi is Midarekomi.
Special feature: Tametsugu learned sword-making from Norishige and later moved to Mino Province. There are a few works which has Mei of “Noshu Ju Fujiwara Tametsugu”. His style is: Itamehada with Hadadachi(rough surface), mixed with Masa-ishness, mainly Notare Hamon mixed with Mokume, some Hotsure at the edge, lots of Nie and sunken Nioikuchi. This work is slightly bright and unbelievably well-made.
Tsuba: Round shape iron Tsuba with gold inlay.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo plate, mouse is engraved with gold color.
There is a signature Yasuchika.
Menuki: Shakudo, Ume flower is engraved.
From Aoi Art: This work is well-shaped with deep Sori and longer Kissaki: traditional Nambokucho style. Hamon is Gunomemidare with deep Nioikuchi mixed with O-Gunomemidare. This is the best forged blade. The blade has thick edge(good Nikuoki) and Boshi has complex Hakikake.
