The blade was polished.
Blade length:70.2cm or 27.63inches.
Sori:1.7cm or 0.66inches.

Width at the hamachi:3.09 cm or 1.21inches.
Width at the Kissaki:1.95cm or 0.76inches.
Kasane:0.74cm or 0.29inches.

Era: Edo period around Kanei era.
Shape: Suriage Mumei. The blade is broad and thick with slightly deep Sori and longer
Kissaki. Shinogi is wide and it is well-shaped.
Jigane: Hadame is grained well with Jinie. Hadame is visible.
Shinogiji: Almost the same as Jigane. It could be Muku-Kitae.
Hamon: Niedeki Gunomemidare. Aligned round Gunome. Slightly sharp Gunomemidare.
Sunagashi and Kinsuji work in Hachu. Boshi is Midarekomi and turns back round at the
tip.

Special feature: Well-shaped work with well-grained Jigane with visible Hadame. NBTHK judged the blade as Kanenori. Kanenori was a swordsmith of Echizen province. He was active in Kanei era. It is well-made and we truly recommend this one to you.

Saya: Black color Saya
Tsuba: Mokko shape iron Tsuba, vine in engraved with brass inlay. Heianjo Tsuba.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo plate, butterflies are engraved with gold color.
Menuki: Plant is engraved with gold color.
