This sword belongs to Saijo saku ranking.
The blade was polished by one of the best polishers.
Habaki: Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length :  70.0cm or 27.5 inches.
Sori :1.6cm or 0.62inches.
Mekugi: 2 
Width at the hamachi: 2.92cm or 1.14inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 1.97cm or 0.77 inches.
Kasane : 0.67cm or 0.26 inches.
The weight of the sword 665 grams.

Era: Kamakura Period
Shape: O-suriage Mumei. Regular width and thickness, deep Sori and onger Kissaki. Good shape sword.
Jigane: Ko-itame Hada and Ko-mokume Hada well grained. Jinie attached very beautiful play Utsuri.
Hamon: Nie-deki Suguha with thin Ko-Ashi, Nezumi-Ashi work.
Boshi: Notare turns back around.

Special feature: The Enju School in Higo province is famous as a supplier of the sword for the Kikuchi family that was a loyal retainer of a divided Emperor family in the Namboku-cho period. The founder of Enju School Kunimura was a pupil of Rai Kunitoshi in Yamashiro province. The School had prospered following the Kikuchi family and came to an end in the Age of Provincial Wars. The representative swordsmiths were Kunimura, Kuniyoshi, Kuniyasu, and Kuninobu.

Fuchi: On Shakudo Nanako plate, 3 Aoi family crest are engraved with gold color.
Kashira: Tsuno
Saya: Black Ishime Saya.
Menuki: On Shakudo Nanako plate, 3 Aoi family crest are engraved with gold color.
Kogai: On Shakudo Nanako plate, 3 Aoi family crest are engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: This marvelous sword was selected as Jyuyo Toke. At a glance, the blade looks like Rai Kunitoshi. The Jigane is very nice Koitame had with utusuri and suguha hamon with small ash, Nezumi ash scatter in Hamon. Of course It is probably a dignified work that is thought to have come to the daimyo family. Koshirae is also nice and well amount for the sword.
The blade is a bright and clear sword. We recommend this Jyuyo sword for you.
