This blade belongs to Jyojyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 76.8 cm or 30.23 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.93 cm or 1.15 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.12 cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Edo period, around Kanbun era.
Shape : Regular width and thick, nice shape Katana.
Jitetsu : Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. There are Chikei.
The Jigane is blackish and visible to see the texture.
Hamon : From the hamachi area, suguha hamon and then gunome midare
with thick nioikuchi. in ha, there are many ashi work and also sunagashi.
Special feature :Izumo Kami Rai Kinmichi was a stream of Mino Kanemichi.
Student of the Kanemichi were Iga Kami Kinmichi and Hujiwara Rai Kinmichi.
This sword smith Rai Kinmichi is 3rd generation Hujiwara Rai Kinmichi
and continued to 4th and 5th generation.
Tsuba : Round shape iron Tsuba, bamboo leaves are engraved with brass inlay.
Fuchikashira :Shakudo Nanako, Yoshitsune Ichidai-ki Gojo no Hasji
(a fight between Ushiwakamaru and Musashibo Benkei on the Gojo Ohashi Bridge).
Saya : Kawarinuri Saya.
Menuki : Shakudo, dragon and Ken are engraved with gold color.
